Charles Waegemans came out of the goal and Ceferino Tibalt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Ceferino Tibalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ceferino Tibalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Waegemans having to interfere. Victorino Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Franco in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Leandro Muno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Waegemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ceferino Tibalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceferino Tibalt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Charles Waegemans made a huge save. Ceferino Tibalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Waegemans having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Leandro Muno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charles Waegemans, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Franco to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Ascensión got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Mino. Charles Waegemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Tibalt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Fernando Evis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Muno in the 58th minute of play forced Domingo 32 de Otoño FC's goalkeeper Charles Waegemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Ascensión was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Sagrario to maneuver through the defense. Anacleto Iraido kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 62 played minutes, Ascensión's Saturnino Sagrario shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Charles Waegemans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ascensión reached it. Ascensión's Victorino Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Franco in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Ascensión booed when Domingo 32 de Otoño FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes Ascensión got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Mino. Melquiades Mino charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melquiades Mino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Ascensión got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Mino. Lázaro Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Roberto Franco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Domingo 32 de Otoño FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Domingo 32 de Otoño FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ascensión had controlled the match.
