Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leandro Muno started the match with the kick off. Ascensión's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Muno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Liher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th match minute, Ascensión was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Bide to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Ascensión got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Bide. 20 minutes into the game, Nicasio Chinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ascensión's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aicuña AFC the free kick. A collision led to Ascensión getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nicasio Chinto hit a great ball. Aicuña AFC's Cecilio Eriz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ascensión. Lázaro Bide hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Victorino Jerrald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Monte in the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Leandro Muno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ascensión's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Muno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fidel Foro charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Foro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ceferino Tibalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Liher having to interfere. Victorino Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prudencio Millrick was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ascensión's Saturnino Sagrario got a free kick in the 50th minute. The supporters of Aicuña AFC booed when Ascensión was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Cecilio Eriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Jerrald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Millrick struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Victorino Jerrald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Victorino Jerrald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Millrick in the 65th minute of the match. Victorino Jerrald was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fidel Foro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 69 minute of play.
