Arnoldo Sanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Bizen in the 13th minute of play forced Saldungaray's goalkeeper Higinio Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Maximino Gonzalez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Higinio Frechoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Saldungaray's zone, Norberto Bizen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Frechoso came out of the goal and Norberto Bizen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Eder kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Saldungaray's Higinio Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Gonzalez in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Eder during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Porvenir:s Carlos Jurdan showed great skill when he stopped Paulo Abajas:s penalty. Carlos Jurdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Javier Tonete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Saldungaray's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Gonzalez came free, but Higinio Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Norberto Bizen, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Higinio Frechoso was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Norberto Bizen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higinio Frechoso. Saldungaray's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto Bizen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Javier Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Saldungaray players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Porvenir were winning 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Bizen was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Saldungaray's goal looked a bit too open when Maximino Gonzalez came free, but Higinio Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnoldo Sanson in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Saldungaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 91st minute, Saldungaray's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Norberto Bizen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Valentin Martinez fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porvenir's protests and gave Valentin Martinez a yellow card for diving instead. Valentin Martinez hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Porvenir played a much better game than Saldungaray and deserved their victory. The Saldungaray players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
