But to his dismay, Hilario Sayvion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A hard shot 12 in the game by Baltasar Columbo from a close distance when the talented Mauricio Faro managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Alavés's players were relieved. Central FC's Leonides Oroitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Maju in the 14th minute of play. If Serafin Cordera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltasar Columbo got free with Mauricio Faro in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Mateo in the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Deportivo Alavés's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baltasar Columbo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 26 played minutes Central FC got a freekick which was hit by Leon Mincho. Leonides Oroitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Kaxen in the 30th minute of the match. Central FC's Baltasar Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hilario Sayvion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Central FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Sayvion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauricio Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Leonides Oroitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Maju in the 45th minute of play. If Hilario Sayvion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raul Maju to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Horacio Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Central FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Alavés:s goal. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Alavés. Blas Bautista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonides Oroitz. 1-2. In the 70th minute Raul Maju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Oroitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Central FC were furious when Horacio Ramone was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 70 minutes into the game, one of Central FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Leonides Oroitz, was totally fooled by Deportivo Alavés's Blas Bautista, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Venancio Nuxila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonides Oroitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aureliano Kaxen in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Fernando Emenon threw the ball into play from the sideline. Central FC's Marciano Mateo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Marciano Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Central FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Mateo couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Central FC's Marciano Mateo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauricio Faro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Prospero Benvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Faro having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Serafin Cordera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Baltasar Columbo came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Central FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Columbo couldn't finish the play. Marciano Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of Deportivo Alavés were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Central FC side.
