Ivan Argina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th match minute, Club Atlético San Miguel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Enmanuel to maneuver through the defense. Sixto Behe, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Nicanor Virila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores de Belgrano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Virila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Arnulfo Nicholas came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Club Atlético San Miguel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Nicholas couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Arnulfo Nicholas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Gaitano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Arnulfo Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Lluques in the 26th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Defensores de Belgrano's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Lluques came free, but Ciro Gaitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Gaitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Lluques in the 35th minute of play. Hugo Matro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Virila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnulfo Nicholas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ciro Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Baleren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Virila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Rene Enmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Blas Lluques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ciro Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Baleren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Nicholas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Gaitano. Defensores de Belgrano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Nicholas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 69th minute of the match Club Atlético San Miguel got a corner. Defensores de Belgrano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Blas Lluques ran over to the corner to take the kick. Club Atlético San Miguel's Blas Lluques was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ciro Gaitano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Defensores de Belgrano's Ciro Gaitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Baleren in the 75th minute of play. If Arnulfo Nicholas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicanor Virila hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Defensores de Belgrano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnulfo Nicholas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lorenzo Baleren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Gaitano having to interfere. Arnulfo Nicholas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 88th playminute. Nicanor Virila hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Baleren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ciro Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Club Atlético San Miguel left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensores de Belgrano.
