SAN LORENZO's Daniel Martxel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leandro Cordareo in the 5 minute of the game. In the 7th minute Natalio Cordarius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Raulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Peruxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Carlos Iturri made a huge save. Carlos Iturri came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Fútbol Club 49's Froilan Froila. But to his dismay, Froilan Froila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 16th minute, Fútbol Club 49's Guido Garin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Guido Garin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fútbol Club 49 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Guido Garin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 16th minute, one of Fútbol Club 49:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fútbol Club 49. After some careless play in the Fútbol Club 49 defense, Geronimo Jaizki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Raulo. The Fútbol Club 49 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Raulo should have stopped the shot. Abelardo Raulo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Cordarius in the 23rd minute of play. Carlos Iturri was a little too slow when Rolando Peruxu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-1. With a little luck, SAN LORENZO's Carlos Iturri got control of the ball when Leandro Cordareo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Peruxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Carlos Iturri made a huge save. If Rolando Peruxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anastasio Frascuelo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO defense, Rolando Peruxu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Iturri. The SAN LORENZO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Iturri should have stopped the shot. Jeremias Richie hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Jose Normando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Iturri having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Fútbol Club 49's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Goi came free, but Abelardo Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Peruxu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SAN LORENZO's Jeremias Richie got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Jeremias Richie off the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of SAN LORENZO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fútbol Club 49:s goal. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Fútbol Club 49. Jose Normando stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlos Iturri. 4-1. 58 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Froila came free, but Carlos Iturri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SAN LORENZO's Carlos Iturri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Peruxu in the 60th minute of play. Melchor Dolfos's late challenge caught a Fútbol Club 49's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Dolfos helped the player get up and apologised. Melchor Dolfos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Carlos Iturri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Peruxu in the 69th minute of the match. SAN LORENZO's Severo Bordat quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jose Normando, made in the 70th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Natalio Cordarius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Raulo was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Carlos Iturri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Peruxu went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. SAN LORENZO's Melchor Dolfos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anastasio Frascuelo, made in the 86th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Rolando Peruxu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Iturri was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. 93 minutes into the game, Rolando Peruxu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Carlos Iturri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
