Juan Lapurdi started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Cria Cuervos booed when Covello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Rocendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Covello getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Carmelo Rocendo hit a great ball. Juan Lapurdi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anastasio Montel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Lapurdi in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Montel saved Cria Cuervos from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Juan Lapurdi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Anastasio Montel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Lapurdi in the 25th minute of play forced Cria Cuervos's goalkeeper Anastasio Montel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Lapurdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Covello's goalkeeper Ramon Rafe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonzo Larra. After a defensive mix-up in Cria Cuervos's zone, Damian Mikeldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Montel came out of the goal and Damian Mikeldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th match minute, Cria Cuervos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Lope to maneuver through the defense. Bonifacio Cordarrell scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anastasio Montel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bonifacio Cordarrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Montel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cria Cuervos's Bartolo Lope got a free kick in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ambrosio Baleren was the one to do the kick off. Juan Lapurdi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Anastasio Montel made a huge save. Carmelo Rocendo charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Rocendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Covello fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Covello's Juan Lapurdi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juan Lapurdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Covello's Juan Lapurdi got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Mikeldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Covello got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Edur. Covello were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Cria Cuervos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damian Mikeldi took the corner. Cria Cuervos's Anastasio Montel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lapurdi in the 89th minute of play. When Bartolo Lope fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cria Cuervos's protests and gave Bartolo Lope a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cria Cuervos's Bartolo Lope got a free kick in the 90th minute. Carmelo Rocendo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Damian Mikeldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Covello's supporters rose to their feet, but Damian Mikeldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Montel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 98 played minutes Covello got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Rocendo. Covello's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
