The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Quentin Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Dolfo having to interfere. El Carmencito's Tomás Dolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Lawrence in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Quentin Lawrence recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomás Dolfo. Quentin Lawrence showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 8th minute, David Maore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Liniers FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Prudencio Cresconio hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes, El Carmencito's Desiderio Cai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jairo Eleder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Carmencito reached it. The audience was convinced that Kazimierz Kazanowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Dolfo was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Fabio Perfecto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Tomás Dolfo made a huge save. Tomás Dolfo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kazimierz Kazanowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 31 minute of play. Tomás Dolfo was a little too slow when Kazimierz Kazanowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 5-0. If Efrain Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, El Carmencito's Tomás Dolfo got control of the ball when Fabio Perfecto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match Liniers FC got a corner. El Carmencito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prudencio Cresconio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Quentin Lawrence almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Carmencito's Tomás Dolfo did a great save. Tomás Dolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kazimierz Kazanowski's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. With a little luck, El Carmencito's Tomás Dolfo got control of the ball when Quentin Lawrence tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kazimierz Kazanowski to make the kick off. Efrain Rexino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes El Carmencito got a freekick which was hit by David Maore. If Kazimierz Kazanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Fabio Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Dolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Carmencito's Tomás Dolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Kazanowski in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Quentin Lawrence ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Dolfo was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. 76 minutes into the match, Fabio Perfecto notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of El Carmencito's Tomás Dolfo. Tomás Dolfo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 78 played minutes El Carmencito got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Javiero. Tomás Dolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Perfecto in the 80th minute of play. Tomás Dolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Lawrence in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Leonides Ieltxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute Quentin Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Dolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Kazanowski in the 90th minute of play forced El Carmencito's goalkeeper Tomás Dolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, El Carmencito's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Perfecto came free, but Tomás Dolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liniers FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
