Spectators: 7437 (Terracing: 5579, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anibal Vidal kicked off to start the match. Albano Aztore was a little too slow when Eduardo Bernabel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Kaiken's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Venerando came free, but Agustin Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Gimnasia L.P. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Senio to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Kaiken defense, Placido Ceandro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Agustin Ayala. The Kaiken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Agustin Ayala should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Venerando in the 27th minute of play forced Kaiken's goalkeeper Agustin Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Ayala didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Placido Ceandro went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Jimeno Venerando notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Kaiken's Agustin Ayala. Agustin Ayala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 played minutes Gimnasia L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Senio. In the 42nd minute of the match, Anibal Vidal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Albano Aztore saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Venerando to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Eugenio Senio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustin Ayala made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Saverio Calisto sent off a good shot on target. Gimnasia L.P.'s Albano Aztore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Vidal in the 62nd minute of play. When Gimnasia L.P.'s Jimeno Venerando in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kaiken's goalie prevented a goal. After 66 minutes, Jimeno Venerando made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Kaiken's Agustin Ayala tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Martin Cáceres hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Placido Ceandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Ayala having to interfere. Albano Aztore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Bernabel in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Kaiken's Agustin Ayala got control of the ball when Saverio Calisto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rogelio Abascal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agustin Ayala having to make a save. Albano Aztore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Kaiken's Eduardo Bernabel in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Kaiken's Anibal Vidal got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Felix Piearres's late challenge caught a Kaiken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Piearres helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Gimnasia L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Felix Piearres. When the final whistle sounded Gimnasia L.P. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kaiken.
