In the 19th minute Julian Maore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Raulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Omar Ermengol fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s protests and gave Omar Ermengol a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pelota De Trapo F.C. getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artemio Garci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julian Maore received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s zone, Anastasio Ado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Gergori came out of the goal and Anastasio Ado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Bouquet's Leopoldo Dominic sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Gergori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Claudio Etxeberri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pelota De Trapo F.C.'s goalkeeper Evaristo Gergori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Dominic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Gergori having to interfere.
