Salsedo were furious when Nestor Brion was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 35 minutes into the game, one of Salsedo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Salsedo's Atilano Iraido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Turi in the 52nd minute of play.
