Norberto Ederono might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clodoveo Flor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Ederono ran back to his position shaking his head. Angel Abel took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clodoveo Flor. Clodoveo Flor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Clodoveo Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Abel in the 28th minute of play. Norberto Ederono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Flor having to interfere. When Angel Abel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Providencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Abel couldn't finish the play. Clodoveo Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Abel in the 38th minute of play. After 43 minutes, Nicolas Cordairo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Providencia and the Cortamambo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Providencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angel Abel to make the kick off. Providencia's Norberto Ederono got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angel Abel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Clodoveo Flor made a huge save. In the 61st minute, Angel Abel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the game, Christian Gergori cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Amadeo Acevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Norberto Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Clodoveo Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clodoveo Flor came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Providencia's Angel Abel. But to his dismay, Angel Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 74 minutes into the match, Cortamambo's goalkeeper Clodoveo Flor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Abel. Angel Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Clodoveo Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Providencia's Norberto Ederono got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Angel Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
