CA Defensores Nacionales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blas Cedro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 46th minute Gaston Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Segio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Bertol made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Bertol in the 54th minute of play forced CA Defensores Nacionales's goalkeeper Jacinto Urre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Cirilo Segio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Rosalio. CA Defensores Nacionales's Jacinto Urre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Bertol in the 56th minute of play. San Lorenzo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
