Atletico Atlas's Edmond Tardif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Bertol in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Blas Cedro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Blas Cedro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmond Tardif was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 43 minutes into the match, Atletico Atlas's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Bertol came free, but Edmond Tardif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmond Tardif showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cirilo Segio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Venerando in the 46th minute of the match. With his leg Edmond Tardif managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when San Lorenzo's Blas Cedro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leo Bertol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Blas Cedro lined in a short shot 3-3 behind a frustrated Edmond Tardif. Leo Bertol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Edmond Tardif when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Cedro got free with Edmond Tardif in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Bertol in the 84th minute of play forced Atletico Atlas's goalkeeper Edmond Tardif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Jonatan Menendo in the 87th minute really tested Edmond Tardif's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Gervaso in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Segio saved San Lorenzo from getting behind. A long shot from Prospero Santana in the 94th minute of play was well struck, but Edmond Tardif made a really good save at the right post. When Leo Bertol, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 95 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Edmond Tardif was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
