The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Dimas got free with Siro Orixe in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Modesto Liberto fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patagones's protests and gave Modesto Liberto a yellow card for diving instead. Modesto Liberto kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Pastor Dimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Angelino Jordy came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Patagones fans jumped to their feet.
