After having played for 3 minutes, Justo Quintan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Quintan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justo Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Lucian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Quintan's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Lorenzo Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Quintan in the 21st minute of play. Justo Quintan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lorenzo Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Isidoro Dunixi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Lucian. Taboada AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Dunixi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Isidoro Dunixi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Lorenzo Lucian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escalante. Godfredo Beltran kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Justo Quintan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Escalante's Isidoro Dunixi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenzo Lucian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Justo Quintan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isidoro Dunixi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godfredo Beltran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Taboada AFC's zone, Anselmo Joseph stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Lucian came out of the goal and Anselmo Joseph tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Escalante booed when Taboada AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Mosen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorenzo Lucian didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the 68th minute, Taboada AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Isidoro Dunixi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot by Amancio Bernard from long distance, 72 minutes into the match, got Lorenzo Lucian's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Quintan got free with Lorenzo Lucian in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Justo Quintan struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Lorenzo Lucian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escalante. Vinicio Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Isidoro Dunixi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taboada AFC's Lorenzo Lucian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Quintan in the 81st minute of play. Lorenzo Lucian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeo Geofredo went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The Escalante players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
