With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Romelio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Serafin Gurutz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Leonides Romelio to make any attempt to save it. After 26 played minutes Ombucta FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Steven. If Valentin Seme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magdalena's Leonides Romelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Magdalena from getting a goal against them. Luisito Paul could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Leonides Romelio made a huge save. When Epifanio Goito fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magdalena's protests and gave Epifanio Goito a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Magdalena got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Goito. When Federico Bidari came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Magdalena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Bidari couldn't finish the play. In the 44th match minute, Magdalena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Seme to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Xabat in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Romelio saved Magdalena from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Xabat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 70thth minute of the game Isidoro Xabat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Magdalena's Leonides Romelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jesus Jacindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Romelio having to make a save. 95 minutes into the match, Magdalena's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Steven came free, but Leonides Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Magdalena getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Federico Bidari hit a great ball.
