The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Malota FC's Saverio Estebe shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. Donato Fraco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Gaitano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Camerino in the 36th minute of play forced Castex's goalkeeper Florencio Millrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Candido Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Gaitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Fraco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelino Camerino made a kick off. Simon Erramun kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Donato Fraco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Candido Dino might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florencio Millrick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Dino ran back to his position shaking his head. Florencio Millrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Camerino, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Candido Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Severiano Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Severiano Gaitano throw himself and got hold of the ball when Virgilio Vincente in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 89 minutes into the match, Malota FC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Vincente came free, but Severiano Gaitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Castex got a freekick which was hit by Placido Naelio. In the 97th minute, Blas Sidoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
