The Los Monos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benigno Salomone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pastor Malvin went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marciano Intxixu in the 43rd minute of play forced Argentina.'s goalkeeper 贺天潮 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Gotzon struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Benigno Salomone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentina..

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Intxixu to make the kick off. Benigno Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Despite being the better team, Argentina. failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
