If Virgilio Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ganar Gustar Golear FC's Filiberto Chucho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ganar Gustar Golear FC from getting a goal against them. In the 40th match minute, Ganar Gustar Golear FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Manex to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Monteverde's goalkeeper Fausto Jordy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fausto Jordy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Manex's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After 48 minutes, Justino Garin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monteverde and the Ganar Gustar Golear FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 49 minutes into the match, Ganar Gustar Golear FC's Erasmo Oliviero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Armando Umbruso made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 59 minutes into the game, when Iker Licerio put in a rough tackle. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Monteverde! Fausto Jordy went to the wrong direction when Erasmo Oliviero was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Monteverde's Fausto Jordy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Astrada in the 66th minute of play. If Virgilio Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Justino Garin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Erasmo Oliviero sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Monteverde's Fausto Jordy didn't even have to move. Fausto Jordy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiberto Astrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ganar Gustar Golear FC's Virgilio Manex got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Jordy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiberto Astrada's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Filiberto Astrada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Jordy having to interfere. When Filiberto Astrada, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 89 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fausto Jordy was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a little luck, Monteverde's Fausto Jordy got control of the ball when Virgilio Manex tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Filiberto Astrada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Jordy was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Many of Ganar Gustar Golear FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ganar Gustar Golear FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Monteverde were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
