After having played for 32 minutes, Angelino Maurino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. mcgyver's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Maurino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Pelayo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Vladimiro Benet sent off a good shot on target. Vladimiro Benet had several of the Stephenson's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Benjamin Pelayo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benjamin Pelayo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimiro Benet in the 43rd minute. Aureliano Santxol charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aureliano Santxol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Aureliano Santxol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Flavio Benvido shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Cordario showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Nevada was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Nevada got free with Zeledon Cordario in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Benet in the 57th minute of play forced Stephenson's goalkeeper Benjamin Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Gumaro in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Eriberto Claus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. mcgyver's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stephenson the free kick. After 66 played minutes mcgyver got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Claus. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Benvido in the 67th minute of play forced mcgyver's goalkeeper Zeledon Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Stephenson's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Benet came free, but Benjamin Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Arce hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Vladimiro Benet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stephenson's Salvador Arce got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Angelino Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Vladimiro Benet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Pelayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Cordario made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Pedro Nevada sent off a good shot on target. Angelino Maurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. mcgyver walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
