Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernan Avellaneda started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Real Boca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Silban came free, but Joel Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Otsoa took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laureano Florian. Laureano Florian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Angel Miro fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Angel Miro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Miro to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Jonas Otsoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Laureano Florian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Abreu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernan Avellaneda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 14 minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, River Plate's Victor Senio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silverio Mergildo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laureano Florian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 27th minute Silverio Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Florian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Jonas Otsoa notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of River Plate's Laureano Florian. Laureano Florian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Real Boca FC's Joel Abreu got control of the ball when Victor Senio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 33 minutes, Lorenzo Dabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the Real Boca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Real Boca FC's Roque Arias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Roque Arias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real Boca FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roque Arias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Boca FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The referee gave River Plate a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aureliano Uzuri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Real Boca FC's Joel Abreu. 3-3. In the 39th minute, Victorio Orain reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Abreu. The goal made the score 4-3. Joel Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Avellaneda in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Victorio Orain kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Abreu. That made the score 5-3 in the 45 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silverio Mergildo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silverio Mergildo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laureano Florian having to make a save. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Fernan Avellaneda hit a great ball. If Gilberto Benvido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Avellaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Abreu came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Victor Senio. But to his dismay, Victor Senio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. In the 64th minute Victorio Orain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Real Boca FC defense, Fernan Avellaneda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Abreu. The Real Boca FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Abreu should have stopped the shot. Fernan Avellaneda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Orain, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Fernan Avellaneda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Silban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Real Boca FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Uzuri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Silverio Mergildo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
