When Paolo Farias fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento's protests and gave Paolo Farias a yellow card for diving instead. Virgilio Benvido acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anselmo Dantel. The Sarmiento fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Sarmiento's Anier Totakoxe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hachiroku F.C.'s Scott Plumber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Totakoxe in the 16th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goalkeeper Virgilio Benvido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Jerrold. After 23 minutes, German Lucila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarmiento and the Hachiroku F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. German Lucila kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Hachiroku F.C.'s Apolo Cebo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Virgilio Benvido but with some difficulty. Anier Totakoxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sarmiento's Virgilio Benvido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarmiento from getting a goal against them. When Anier Totakoxe came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sarmiento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Totakoxe couldn't finish the play. Florencio Silbestre kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Anier Totakoxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scott Plumber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgilio Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Jerrold in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Anier Totakoxe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Scott Plumber was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anier Totakoxe to strike the kick off in the second half. Scott Plumber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Anier Totakoxe in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Scott Plumber, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Igor Umea came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Sarmiento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Umea couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Florencio Silbestre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Jerrold in the 65th minute of the match. Anier Totakoxe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute, Sarmiento's Anier Totakoxe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Sarmiento made a substitution. Feliciano Fidele replaced Eustaquio Presebal. Hachiroku F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anier Totakoxe 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. In the 85th minute, Patricio Tipi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anier Totakoxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott Plumber having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ovidio Bermund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Scott Plumber. That made the score 1-4 in the 94 minute of play. Sarmiento played a much better game than Hachiroku F.C. and deserved their victory. The Hachiroku F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
