The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Goiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Chesus in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Goiz saved Taladracerebros from getting behind. Guillermo Baristo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Seguinus in the 28th minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Sebastian Raymundo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Taladracerebros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Macario to maneuver through the defense. Taladracerebros's Gregorio Goiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Luken in the 34th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Evaristo Chesus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Godoy Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Taladracerebros's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
