Club Atlético River Plate's Mariano Lucado got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mazarópi Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Loi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. High Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Achille Laurø in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Timoteo Fix managed to get in a good position for a shot. High Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Fix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazarópi Vasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lucado in the 28th minute of play forced High Team's goalkeeper Uriel Palban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Modesto Loi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mazarópi Vasco. Club Atlético River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Modesto Loi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Blas Dantae took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Uriel Palban to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Club Atlético River Plate defense, Domingos Benino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazarópi Vasco. The Club Atlético River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazarópi Vasco should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Modesto Loi made the kick off in the second half. Mazarópi Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Benino in the 53rd minute of the match. Saul Cordarrell hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Club Atlético River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Benino came free, but Mazarópi Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Herminio Jerrold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. In the 87th minute, Domingos Benino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mazarópi Vasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Mazarópi Vasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Benino, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. High Team's Uriel Palban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Dantae in the 95th minute of play. Club Atlético River Plate's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
