The supporters of RB Salzburgo booed when Elordi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Lonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Generoso Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Elordi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Porfiro. After a rather tough play, RB Salzburgo's Evelio Quilo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Claudio Lorenz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herminio Nataniel. RB Salzburgo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matias Favila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Berriotxoa having to interfere. Generoso Romo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Paulino Berriotxoa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Elordi AFC's Eulalio Mouricio got a free kick in the 31st minute. Elordi AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Matias Favila 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 37th match minute, RB Salzburgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Sabino to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Nataniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Moise in the 40th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Evelio Quilo put in a rough tackle.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Iratze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 60 minutes, Matias Favila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RB Salzburgo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Favila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rdth minute of the game Jorge Porfiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RB Salzburgo's Herminio Nataniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herminio Nataniel made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Jorge Porfiro sent off a good shot on target. Herminio Nataniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Lonzo in the 99th minute of play. The Elordi AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elordi AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
