After 3 minutes, Ariel Rik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter Miami and the Palmira AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Inter Miami got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Rik. Eduardo Raitin made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Pablo Toro sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, Inter Miami's Pablo Toro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Raitin. Eduardo Raitin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 19th minute Palmira AFC were awarded a corner. Arnoldo Celipe went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Bortzaioriz in the 21st minute of play forced Inter Miami's goalkeeper Enrique Ipar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Toro got free with Eduardo Raitin in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rdth minute of the game Tiburcio Bortzaioriz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Miami's Enrique Ipar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes of play, Inter Miami's Valentin Sauveur made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Raitin was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Palmira AFC's Tiburcio Bortzaioriz in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Inter Miami's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Rik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Raitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Rik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariel Rik made a kick off. Tiburcio Bortzaioriz struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Enrique Ipar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmira AFC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Salomone during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Inter Miami's Benjamin Salomone got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Tiburcio Bortzaioriz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Palmira AFC's Arnoldo Celipe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. A collision led to Palmira AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ciro Guib hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Asteri in the 62nd minute of play forced Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Eduardo Raitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes, Inter Miami's Cayetano Giro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eduardo Raitin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter Miami reached it. 66 minutes into the match, Palmira AFC's Tiburcio Bortzaioriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Ipar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Palmira AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Bortzaioriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palmira AFC's Eduardo Raitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Isadore in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes Palmira AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Angelo Asteri who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Miami's zone, Aaron Basualdo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Ipar came out of the goal and Aaron Basualdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Arnoldo Celipe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmira AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Celipe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Ipar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Raitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Inter Miami support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
