Aquiles Bertin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Colón FC booed when Emporioneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Gervaso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Gaspar Hodei managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Colón FC's zone, Jonatan Theodore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Cilio came out of the goal and Jonatan Theodore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquiles Bertin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Toribio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emporioneta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Gaspar Hodei scored to the left of an out of position Aquiles Bertin, making the score, 1-0. Pedro Toribio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Aquiles Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Emporioneta getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Manuel Gonzo hit a great ball. Aquiles Bertin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Hodei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Hodei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Colón FC's Aquiles Bertin threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaspar Hodei, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Emporioneta's Evaristo Gervaso in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Pedro Toribio came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Colón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Toribio couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Hodei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquiles Bertin was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Gaspar Hodei scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquiles Bertin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Toribio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colón FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Emporioneta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florencio Franco took the corner. The corner led to Colón FC's Tadeo Milian getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Pedro Toribio came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Colón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Toribio couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Florencio Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Emporioneta's Americo Cilio threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sergio Michael, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Isidro Canor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Cilio was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Sergio Michael capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sergio Michael really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Aquiles Bertin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Toribio in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Florencio Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Argi kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Pedro Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Toribio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Evaristo Gervaso could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Americo Cilio however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Emporioneta booed when Colón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Juvenal didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Colón FC fully deserved thier win.
