If Siro Fertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, ACADEMICOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Fernandez came free, but Florentino Abecia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Leones booed when ACADEMICOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Siro Fertus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ACADEMICOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siro Fertus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Leones's Rolando Adrio got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingo Costante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Silvio Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Palben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Costante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathon Meza to strike the kick off in the second half. Domingo Costante took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florentino Abecia. Florentino Abecia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rolando Adrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to ACADEMICOS FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eustacio Ramirez hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, ACADEMICOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Victoro to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute of the match Domingo Costante shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florentino Abecia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Fertus during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute, Siro Fertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, ACADEMICOS FC's goalkeeper Florentino Abecia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Adrio. Florentino Abecia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathon Meza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prospero Palben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Adrio got free with Florentino Abecia in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Club Leones's Godfredo Gregory got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 84 played minutes, ACADEMICOS FC's Teodoro Mirande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Prospero Palben came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ACADEMICOS FC reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathon Meza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Florentino Abecia. That made the score 0-3 in the 86 minute of play. Rolando Adrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Florentino Abecia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ACADEMICOS FC's Eustacio Ramirez got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Club Leones left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ACADEMICOS FC.
