After a rather tough play, Devoto FC's Eliseo Vellito got a free kick in the 5th minute. Adolfo Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Gilberto Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Txordon kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play, Alpha Pegasus FC's Adolfo Eliu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Oto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Devoto FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Oto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Devoto FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Albino Dantae hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geronimo Maldonado got free with Roberto Baristo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the game, Adolfo Eliu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gilberto Oto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Edelmiro Porfiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 29 played minutes Alpha Pegasus FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Eliu. In the 32nd minute Adolfo Eliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geronimo Maldonado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roberto Baristo came out and tried to block the shot, but Geronimo Maldonado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 34th minute. If Nicolas Elia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Devoto FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. The supporters of Devoto FC booed when Alpha Pegasus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Leizarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gilberto Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Nemesio Savion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alpha Pegasus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 64 minutes into the match, Alpha Pegasus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Porfiro came free, but Roberto Baristo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Alpha Pegasus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Matai to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Maldonado might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Baristo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geronimo Maldonado ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Savion in the 69th minute of the match. Gilberto Oto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Elia in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geronimo Maldonado in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Baristo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roberto Baristo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Matai during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alpha Pegasus FC's Fabian Matai got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Leonel Txordon fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Devoto FC's protests and gave Leonel Txordon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Devoto FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Leonel Txordon hit a great ball. Omar Etxekopar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilberto Oto. Devoto FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Devoto FC's Gilberto Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Eliu in the 89th minute of play. Alpha Pegasus FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Devoto FC's much stronger midfield.
