Americo Teodors short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Jonas Min to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to SCASEST IAM NO ST getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Leonardo Millano hit a great ball. If Hugo Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of SCASEST IAM NO ST booed when Balcosna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Ayala didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Barros couldn't finish the play. Lenílson Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Sánchez in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Jaume made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Luix during the 56th minute. Damian Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Sergipano having to interfere. With a little luck, Balcosna's Lenílson Sergipano got control of the ball when Hugo Sánchez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Luix kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. SCASEST IAM NO ST's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
