The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santiago Orkatz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filomeno Sugoi in the 39th minute. Virgilio Eyague kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Hugo Seguinus hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute of the match David Lluterio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amancio Valente skillfully saved the ball. Santiago Orkatz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Jaime Terciero took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Amancio Valente to make any attempt to save it.
