Leo Gaueko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Chesus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Bover Juniors's Roberto Osmundo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Chesus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Haroldo Chesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Osmundo in the 26th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Lonzo to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Águilas Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Cruz. Roberto Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Chesus having to interfere. Francisco Lonzo scored 1-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Gitano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 61 minutes, Roberto Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Águilas Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Águilas Futbol Club's Roberto Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bover Juniors:s Armando Gitano showed great skill when he stopped Elias Oliverios:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Santana in the 85th minute of play forced Bover Juniors's goalkeeper Armando Gitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Lonzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Armando Gitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Gitano having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Roberto Osmundo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Haroldo Chesus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 97 minutes into the match, Águilas Futbol Club's Elias Oliverios broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Roberto Osmundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haroldo Chesus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Osmundo ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bover Juniors walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
