Velez Sarsfield's Arnulfo Caetano got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Baldovino in the 4th minute of play forced FLORA F.C's goalkeeper Ubaldo Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, C. A. Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Nalo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Boniel in the 6th minute of play forced C. A. Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Benny Rutten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benny Rutten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeo Enetz went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Caetano in the 11th minute of play forced FLORA F.C's goalkeeper Ubaldo Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes FLORA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Ongile. Ubaldo Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Caetano in the 13th minute of the match. If Paolo Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benny Rutten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Boniel in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, FLORA F.C's Amadeo Enetz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benny Rutten was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, FLORA F.C's goalkeeper Ubaldo Gilesindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Clemencin. In the 23rd minute, FLORA F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arnulfo Caetano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Federico Baldovino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Gilesindo having to interfere. Benny Rutten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Boniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Timoteo Precioso fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Velez Sarsfield's protests and gave Timoteo Precioso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Timoteo Precioso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ubaldo Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Caetano in the 34th minute of play. If Paolo Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Gilesindo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Paolo Clemencin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The C. A. Velez Sarsfield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FLORA F.C were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Baldovino to strike the kick off in the second half. FLORA F.C's Ubaldo Gilesindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Clemencin in the 52nd minute of play. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's Arnulfo Caetano got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 played minutes FLORA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Cheche. Benny Rutten made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Arnaldo Nazario sent off a good shot on target. Benny Rutten came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by FLORA F.C's Arnaldo Nazario. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Nazario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Paolo Clemencin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubaldo Gilesindo having to interfere. C. A. Velez Sarsfield's Paolo Clemencin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sixto Lander, made in the 77th minute of the game. Ubaldo Gilesindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Clemencin, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 93rd minute Federico Baldovino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Gilesindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
