Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Es Gatorei Señorita's Godfredo Dalmu in the 6th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gilbert Björkkvist was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Merced FC through an amazing save. Gilbert Björkkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Dalmu's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After having played for 10 minutes, Gaston Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Es Gatorei Señorita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Merced FC's Generoso Olayo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Alonzo Atauri, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Merced FC's Gilbert Björkkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Merced FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Patxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Es Gatorei Señorita getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Carlos Chayo hit a great ball. Gilbert Björkkvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaston Goiz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Merced FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Janpier to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Atauri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Abelardo Piarres fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merced FC's protests and gave Abelardo Piarres a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Merced FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Piarres. In the 45th minute, Gaston Goiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Es Gatorei Señorita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godfredo Dalmu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Björkkvist came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Es Gatorei Señorita's Godfredo Dalmu. But to his dismay, Godfredo Dalmu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Merced FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Geronimo Cordaro hit a great ball. Merced FC's Gilbert Björkkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Dalmu in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Merced FC's Abelardo Piarres got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute Gaston Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Björkkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Patxi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Severiano Raymundo made a huge save. Leopoldo Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Raymundo having to interfere. Godfredo Dalmu took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Björkkvist. Gilbert Björkkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. A hard shot 80 in the game by Leopoldo Patxi from a close distance when the talented Severiano Raymundo managed to make a qualified save. Es Gatorei Señorita's players were relieved. After 81 played minutes Es Gatorei Señorita got a freekick which was hit by Roque Shantala. When Leopoldo Patxi came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Merced FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Patxi couldn't finish the play. The Es Gatorei Señorita fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Es Gatorei Señorita's Gaston Goiz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92nd minute, Gaston Goiz made a precise shot to the right of Gilbert Björkkvist. Merced FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Es Gatorei Señorita fully deserved thier win.
