Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Teobaldo Veremundo got the match started through his kick off. In the last second Gilbert Björkkvist throw himself and got hold of the ball when Teobaldo Veremundo in the 12thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Merced FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicasio Urti was slow to take the kick. During this time Atletico Neuquen's players had a chance to rest. When Placido Asier came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Atletico Neuquen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Asier couldn't finish the play. If Teobaldo Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teobaldo Veremundo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Atletico Neuquen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Veremundo couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Maximiliano Gines mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merced FC and the Atletico Neuquen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maximiliano Gines kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Teobaldo Veremundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gilbert Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Björkkvist having to interfere. Teobaldo Veremundo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Björkkvist having to make a save. Gilbert Björkkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Veremundo in the 44th minute of play. Geronimo Cordaro hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Guillermo Emesto made the kick off in the second half. Merced FC's Guillermo Emesto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Ted having to interfere. Gilbert Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Veremundo in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Atletico Neuquen's Teobaldo Veremundo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Björkkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Asier in the 61st minute of play forced Merced FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Björkkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Björkkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Veremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilbert Björkkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Veremundo in the 65th minute of play. Gilbert Björkkvist came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Neuquen's Jacinto Nel. But to his dismay, Jacinto Nel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 70th minute, Teobaldo Veremundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Nel took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Björkkvist. Gilbert Björkkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Veremundo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Björkkvist was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Atletico Neuquen's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Emesto came free, but Rene Ted reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Asier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Björkkvist having to interfere.
