If Generoso Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Guillermo Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francois Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Paulão Rosado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gilbert Björkkvist, passed just outside the right post. If Elias Mateus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Mateus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulão Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pol Uchiha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gilbert Björkkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Berzemú players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merced FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Mateus to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geronimo Cordaro got free with Francois Armani in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domingos Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Björkkvist having to interfere. Francois Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Viator in the 54th minute of the match. Natalio Lehoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Björkkvist having to interfere. Merced FC's Gilbert Björkkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Rosado in the 57th minute of play. Gilbert Björkkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Benino in the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Elias Mateus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Natalio Lehoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Rosado struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gilbert Björkkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berzemú. Elias Mateus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berzemú's Francois Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Emesto in the 70th minute of play. Gilbert Björkkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natalio Lehoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Mateus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilbert Björkkvist having to make a save. Gilbert Björkkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Lehoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Mateus in the 81st minute of play forced Merced FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Björkkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natalio Lehoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilbert Björkkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Rosado in the 86th minute of play. Berzemú's Natalio Lehoi got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Merced FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Mateus came free, but Gilbert Björkkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Mateus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Björkkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Natalio Lehoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berzemú's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merced FC the free kick.
