After recieving a nice pass, El Fortin's Enrique Olayo tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Lucio Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Castulo took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Ted. Rene Ted dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Atletico Neuquen getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Higinio Resto hit a great ball. Lucio Alonso scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Ted, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teobaldo Veremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebio Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Atletico Neuquen got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Veremundo. 42 minutes in the game, Teobaldo Veremundo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With an all-out effort, Atletico Neuquen's Benigno Euloxu threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teobaldo Veremundo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Placido Asier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Benigno Euloxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Castulo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Martin Telesforo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Fortin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Neuquen the free kick. Martin Telesforo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Tomás Castulo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teobaldo Veremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Euloxu having to interfere. Lucio Alonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rene Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Castulo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Atletico Neuquen's goalkeeper Rene Ted had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Alonso. The supporters of El Fortin booed when Atletico Neuquen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Nel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Veremundo in the 80th minute of play forced El Fortin's goalkeeper Benigno Euloxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, El Fortin's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Veremundo came free, but Benigno Euloxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Alonso scored 0-4 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Ted, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lucio Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Rosario charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Rosario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Rene Ted, was totally fooled by El Fortin's Enrique Olayo, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the match was over El Fortin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Neuquen throughout the match.
