Rosario Central's Álvaro Montero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Gentza in the 19th minute of play. Alberto Matai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Tomas Wittemans when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deportivo Roca's Tomas Wittemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Eufrasio in the 23rd minute of play.
