If Elpidio Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Isidro Palos fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haedo FC's protests and gave Isidro Palos a yellow card for diving instead. Isidro Palos kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Haedo FC's zone, Elpidio Venerando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Corderro came out of the goal and Elpidio Venerando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Gagoneta FC's Andres Geofredo got control of the ball when Jonathan Tino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Elpidio Venerando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Corderro. Haedo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Venerando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Hector Ferdinand notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Gagoneta FC's Andres Geofredo. Andres Geofredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vicente Caradaro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Vicente Caradaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Andres Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Gagoneta FC's Honorio Chepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Corderro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Isidro Palos was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Haedo FC's Hector Ferdinand got a free kick in the 35th minute. Honorio Chepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Humberto Corderro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Ferdinand managed to, on his own, get straight through Gagoneta FC's defense and in the 40th minute placed the ball to the left of Andres Geofredo. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Elpidio Venerando made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Haedo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Silvino to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Venerando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Corderro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Haedo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Venerando came free, but Humberto Corderro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Caradaro in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres Geofredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Tino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Andres Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorio Chepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Haedo FC's Ciriaco Iztal was substituted for Gregorio Silvino. Vicente Caradaro hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Isidro Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gagoneta FC's zone, Hector Ferdinand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Geofredo came out of the goal and Hector Ferdinand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andres Geofredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Illan during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Haedo FC booed when Gagoneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Illan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haedo FC made a substitution. Vinicio Pueblo replaced Vicente Caradaro. Haedo FC's Jonathan Tino got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Haedo FC's Clodoveo Gomez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. There was no doubt that Haedo FC were the better team. Haedo FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
