If Dalmacio Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Ponc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Emilio Pacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Club Atlético Detonados a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adrian Fonso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jasimaná's Emilio Pacho. 1-0. The supporters of Club Atlético Detonados booed when Jasimaná was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Bonifaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Jasimaná's Hipolito Bonifaco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavio Teyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Emilio Pacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Ponc, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Emilio Pacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Ponc in the 30th minute of the match. Zeledon Librado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Octavio Teyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Bonifaco in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Teyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Santos Loren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Detonados's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Loren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Pacho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Dalmacio Urtats elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucio Ponc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Munio during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Club Atlético Detonados got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Munio. Romeo Dominix hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jasimaná's Hernan Ieltxu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Octavio Teyo but with some difficulty. When Benito Cuarto fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Detonados's protests and gave Benito Cuarto a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Club Atlético Detonados got a freekick which was hit by Benito Cuarto. Jasimaná's Hernan Ieltxu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Octavio Teyo but with some difficulty. Octavio Teyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Urtats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlético Detonados's Octavio Teyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Detonados from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Jasimaná's Dalmacio Urtats slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Octavio Teyo. That made the score 1-3 after 79 minutes of play. Paulo Ricart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Octavio Teyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Jasimaná booed when Club Atlético Detonados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Chale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Librado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Teyo having to interfere. When Lucio Ponc came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Club Atlético Detonados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Ponc couldn't finish the play. Emilio Pacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Ponc in the 97th minute of play.
