Armando Ranolfo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Armando Ranolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Armando Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauricio Lorencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Nahia in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Atlético Sta. Clara's Mauricio Lorencio got control of the ball when Haroldo Nahia tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Fulgencio Artaldo fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Sta. Clara's protests and gave Fulgencio Artaldo a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Atlético Sta. Clara got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Artaldo. 24 minutes into the game, La Curtiembre FC's Haroldo Nahia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Lorencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Mauricio Lorencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Ranolfo in the 27th minute. Atlético Sta. Clara's Mauricio Lorencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Ranolfo in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Ranolfo in the 34th minute of play forced Atlético Sta. Clara's goalkeeper Mauricio Lorencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on La Curtiembre FC's corner Jonatan Baristo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mauricio Lorencio quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Ranolfo in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Lorencio saved Atlético Sta. Clara from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Nahia to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Atlético Sta. Clara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Luke to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Armando Ranolfo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Lorencio was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Mauricio Lorencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Ranolfo in the 61st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La Curtiembre FC had played much better football throughout.
