The supporters of Mapis AFC booed when Thunders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Mapis AFC's Gogo Iraitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Amaya in the 25th minute of play forced Thunders's goalkeeper Rosendo Umea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Emanuel Torres hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Felix Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
