After a rather tough play, Petroquimica's Tobias Ariando got a free kick in the 26th minute. Petroquimica's Armando Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Guilabertus in the 29th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armando Marquez. The goal made the score 1-5. The Petroquimica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching General Roca's performance. The match ended with a win for General Roca.
