Paulo Bilintx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mdq FC's zone, Rene Orlondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Bilintx came out of the goal and Rene Orlondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Bilintx came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by General Roca's Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate. But to his dismay, Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 14 minutes into the game, Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Paulo Bilintx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the game, Hilario Guilabertus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Paulo Bilintx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, Fernando Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 minutes, Fabio Txatxu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mdq FC and the General Roca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Mdq FC's Leopoldo Silban slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elvio Firme. That made the score 1-4 after 31 minutes of play. Elvio Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Silban in the 35th minute of play. Mdq FC's Paulo Bilintx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate in the 38th minute of play. Elvio Firme was a little too slow when Leopoldo Silban got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-4. Paulo Bilintx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Guilabertus in the 43rd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Bernardo Tohias put in a rough tackle. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate to make the kick off. Paulo Bilintx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Guilabertus, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, General Roca's Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Lisandro Quinten came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Mdq FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Quinten couldn't finish the play. Elvio Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Silban in the 65th minute of play. Elvio Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Silban in the 68th minute of the match. After 71 minutes of play, Mdq FC's Leopoldo Silban made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Firme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ambrosio Liberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. General Roca's Elvio Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Silban in the 79th minute of play. If Ambrosio Liberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Leopoldo Silban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mdq FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Silban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 86 minutes on the clock, Fabio Txatxu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave General Roca a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rene Orlondo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mdq FC's Paulo Bilintx. 4-5. 90 minutes into the match, Mdq FC's goalkeeper Paulo Bilintx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate. 99 minutes into the match, Hilario Guilabertus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Bilintx. Mdq FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hilario Guilabertus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-6.
