UNION 1989 FC's Teofilo Olando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Silban in the 18th minute of play. Ambrosio Liberto got his second yellow card in the match during the 19th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Mdq FC's Paulo Bilintx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Lando in the 21st minute of play. Matias Licerio's late challenge caught a UNION 1989 FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matias Licerio helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Mdq FC got a freekick which was hit by Matias Licerio. Leopoldo Silban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teofilo Olando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Silban in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Mdq FC booed when UNION 1989 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Lastur didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Quinten during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lisandro Quinten hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leopoldo Silban made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Matias Licerio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teofilo Olando was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. But to his dismay, Santiago Lando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Teofilo Olando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Silban, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Andres Gauargi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lisandro Quinten came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Mdq FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Quinten couldn't finish the play. If Lisandro Quinten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomiro Chesus helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UNION 1989 FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Baldomiro Chesus hit a great ball. Leopoldo Silban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Olando having to interfere. When the match was over Mdq FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than UNION 1989 FC throughout the match.
