Spectators: 7353 (Terracing: 5536, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 120) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 10th minute, Gaston Elizardo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Bilintx. The goal made the score 1-0. Santiago Argider kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Paulo Bilintx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Erasto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Mdq FC's Paulo Bilintx got control of the ball when Silvano Phelipe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Geronimo Medardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the game Uriel Semeno made a throw-in which Lisandro Quinten played forward. After a rather tough play, Mdq FC's Elpidio Virila got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of Mdq FC booed when Petroquimica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Phelipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Petroquimica getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ernesto Iovine hit a great ball. Armando Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Medardo in the 35th minute of play. Petroquimica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Silban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mdq FC's Paulo Bilintx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Elizardo in the 43rd minute of play. Leopoldo Silban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Marquez having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaston Elizardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Petroquimica's Armando Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Petroquimica from getting a goal against them. Paulo Bilintx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Elizardo in the 60th minute of play. When Ernesto Iovine fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petroquimica's protests and gave Ernesto Iovine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Ernesto Iovine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Petroquimica's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Argider came free, but Armando Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gaston Elizardo sped through Mdq FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo Bilintx. In the 72nd minute, Ambrosio Liberto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Luo Rong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Leopoldo Silban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Liberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
