In the 18th minute Froilan Lartaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Beti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lertxun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Beti having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Jorge Guillelmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee ignored Rueda's protests and gave Aaron Oliveiro a yellow card for diving instead. Rueda's Froilan Lartaun got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Elida booed when Rueda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Gumaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Froilan Lartaun made a precise shot to the right of Leon Beti. Elida's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.
