Denis Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Reynaldo Elequemedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Quexal got free with Reynaldo Elequemedo in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donato Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Gaitan in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Independiente's Reynaldo Elequemedo got control of the ball when Oscar Quexal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denis Montes had several of the Independiente's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Reynaldo Elequemedo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 29th minute, Santos Leguizamón made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Elequemedo. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Santos Leguizamón kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reynaldo Elequemedo. That made the score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Santos Leguizamón recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Elequemedo. Santos Leguizamón showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. In the 43rd minute, Silviu Radovan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reynaldo Elequemedo. The goal made the score 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the game, Santos Leguizamón cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Reynaldo Elequemedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Montez during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Santos Leguizamón took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reynaldo Elequemedo. Independiente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Santos Leguizamón's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Reynaldo Elequemedo on his right side and into the goal. 56 minutes into the game it was 8-0. Oscar Quexal hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Prudencio Pueblo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Donato Cruz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Reynaldo Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Quexal in the 62nd minute of the match. After 68 minutes of play, AC Cuneo's Oscar Quexal made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Elequemedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The AC Cuneo fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when AC Cuneo's Oscar Quexal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 77th minute, Prudencio Pueblo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-1. 79 minutes into the game, Santos Leguizamón was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Cuneo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. In the 79th minute, Santos Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prudencio Pueblo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Donato Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Oscar Quexal managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Cuneo's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Quexal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Elequemedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AC Cuneo had played much better football throughout.
