The goalkeeper, Maximino Gurutz, was totally fooled by condor's Carlos Belarmo, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Bernaldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Avellaneda FC's Maximino Gurutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Tebaldo in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Esteve Abad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Gurutz was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After having played for 57 minutes, Esteve Abad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. condor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteve Abad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteve Abad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Gurutz having to make a save. 78 minutes into the match, condor's goalkeeper Hector Lidon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marciano Romero. condor's Hector Lidon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Bernaldo in the 79th minute of play. In the 92ndth minute of the game Esteve Abad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avellaneda FC's Maximino Gurutz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Avellaneda FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Patricio Natanael hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Avellaneda FC's Ubaldo Barea got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Esteve Abad sped through Avellaneda FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximino Gurutz.
